NDA & Confidentiality

Nordic Energy Matchbox is designed as a low-threshold, pre-collaboration arena. No NDAs are used at this stage. Companies must not share confidential information or trade secrets. Only non-confidential, high-level descriptions should be submitted when engaging with the challenge areas.

Important note

Equinor, Aker BP and other involved partners conduct research and development on a broad scale and may already be working on similar ideas or concepts. To avoid any risk of confusion over ownership, participants must only share non-confidential information during this process. No confidential information will be accepted or reviewed.

IP ownership

Any intellectual property brought into this process (“background IP”) remains with each participant. Matchbox does not evaluate or take ownership of any IP. Any IP-related discussions or confidentiality requirements in a later bilateral process must be handled directly between the relevant parties outside of Matchbox.

Data handling

All data submitted to Matchbox is treated as confidential by the operators (Innovation Dock, Validé and Energy Transition Norway) for the duration of the evaluation process.
– Data is not reused for statistics
– Data is not applied to internal analytics
– Data is not used for AI training
– Data is not shared beyond the purpose of matchmaking

All submitted data will be deleted once the matching process is completed, unless the participant explicitly requests continued storage for follow-up.
